Edgar Dalloway is the main antagonist of Halloweentown High and is the father to Ethan Dalloway.

Appearance[]

In his first and final appearance (Halloweentown High), Edgar is seen wearing a robe in the council room, with a white-haired wig. When he's not with the Council members, he is seen wearing a suit.

Personality[]

He is the former head of the Halloweentown Council and wants the portal closed for good.

Biography[]

Halloweentown High[]

He also desires the Cromwell magic, and tries every scheme possible to get it. He nearly succeeds but is stopped when Marnie proves that humans really have changed and Gwen returns with Cassie whom she rescued from where Edgar trapped her. The Cromwell witches retake their powers from Edgar. The Halloweentown High Council (deciding to give humans another chance) traps Edgar in Aggie's Witch's Glass resigning him from the Halloweentown Council and arresting him for arson, Domestic terrorism, kidnapping and sabotaging the Cromwell family's attempts to stop the chaos from the rampaging monsters he created and since one of them started a small fire near a big pumpkin and his sabotage resulted in the fire getting bigger when Marnie and Aggie tried to put it out with their magic.

He does not appear, but his son Ethan reveals to Marnie that his father had lost his magic after the events of the third movie and also that he used to belong to a coven known as the Dominion, formed by seven evil witches and warlocks.

Powers and Abilities[]

Spell Casting - Due to Edgar being a warlock, he is able to cast spells.

Magicus Fixel - With this ability, he is able to take the magic of anyone.

Ethan is Edgar's son and was in on the plan to take the Cromwell's magic and seal the door to the two realms.

Halloweentown Council[]

With Edgar being the leader of the Halloweentown Council, he has power over the rest of the members. He is seen teaming up with Marnie when the other members didn't this is his first scheme to make Marnie seem like he wants to help. Furthermore, he is the one who told all the members that humans are bad news and shouldn't be trusted, and that they should close the portal separating the two realms mortal, and monster for good.

Phil Flanagan[]

In the only movie appearance Phil & Edgar are in (Halloweentown High), Phil is seen with Edgar's son Ethan, and when Edgar arrives with a magical door, Phil and Edgar have a conversation on Phil being a relative of the Knights (who's goal is killing all magical beings), and afterwards Phil and Edgar talk about the plan of taking the Cromwell's magic. However, Ethan takes out a mirror and shows his friend Cassie who was locked inside of it by Edgar. When Ethan says that he promised no one would get hurt, he says it was well deserved. Phil and Edgar continue the plan, until Edgar comes to the Cromwell's and their Haunted House setup at their High-School's Festival, and continues to mock Aggie, Marnie, and Gwen's plans to successfully get humans to accept Halloweentown citizens and be able to stay in the mortal realm and go to school with mortals without being killed or disrespected. When Edgar takes Aggie's and Marnie's magic, Phil helps Aggie when she fell, and says the ring that all the Knights wear didn't fit really. Afterwards, the council members show up, and they say humans been more accepting then Edgar told them. And they seal him into a mirror for his whole life and his families magic gets taken away.
